Hey all! I’m Christian, a solo Flutter dev who was tired of google doc'ing myself just to pass text or a link between my devices.

So I built CtrlV, a “send-it-to-myself” scratchpad that works on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS & Android.

What it does today:

  • Native Share Button (iOS/Android) Integration: Use the Share button on iOS/Android to quickly send links, text, or images from various apps (Browsers, Social Media Apps, Photos, etc.), or just highlight some text & hit Share, then select CtrlV!
  • Instant, Native Notifications: You'll receive instant notifications when you receive content, so you won't forget it. Smart actions like 'Copy' & 'Open URL' based on content.
  • End-to-end encrypted: I never see your data & it's decrypted on-device. You can also use a toggle button to see your encrypted data!
  • Editable history: You can delete individual, or all your data whenever you want to & It's gone forever!
  • Quick Action Buttons: Within the app, you can quickly copy to clipboard (both text and& images), download
  • Manual share to anywhere: Need to share bits of text, code, an excerpt from an article? Send it manually to any of your devices.
  • Send images: Ability to send an image (and soon multiple) across devices. I'm submitting this for review as we speak!

What’s next

  • Getting app released ASAP (hopefully this weekend).
  • Social Login
  • Category/Tags/Subject
  • Keep app running in menubar/tray (desktop)
  • Linux build (Just have to run Linux on my machine & build it)
  • Features based on voting from users (app settings)

Would love to know if this would be useful to you, any ideas, & overall feedback! You can check it out here, I'm currently taking on testers, so feel free to join :) TIA!
