Allergic to Revolution Plus

My cat is allergic to revolution plus and we are going to travel on the plane soon. I want to give him some type of protection fleas. He is an indoor kitty so normally I don’t give him any flea medication because he is allergic to the flea collar as well. What to do? Is there a chance he will be allergic to the oral flea meds or shots?
