Will NVR record POE cameras on network that are not directly connected to the POE ports?
Fairly new to this so sorry if this a basic question. I am in the install/testing/planning phase of my camera setup. I bought a couple different cameras so I could temporarily install and move around to test field of view, zoom, existing light availability for night mode and exact physical placement to run the cabling to the right spots before closing in/finishing up various sections of an new house.
Making good progress with that but I’m trying to sort out the capabilities of the NVRs. I have a detached garage that currently has cat 6 network connection. If I have 3-4 cameras on/in the garage connected to a POE injector/switch will the Reolink NVRs be able to access them and record/control them over the network or do I need to direct wire them each to the NVR?
If so is there a camera number limit that one cat 6 can run off a POE switch? I have two cat 6 run there currently so one could do cameras and the other could do all the other internet stuff.
