Cuisinart MultiClad Pro 12 Piece Set (Sealed Rims)

New Acquisition

I've been back and forth all week researching and debating on which new cookware to get and finally decided to go with the Cuisinart MultiClad Pro (and test my luck on getting sealed rims).

I ordered the set through the Cuisinart store on Amazon (Sold and shipped by Amazon). The listing shows the product number to be "MCP-12N", but upon inspection of the box and etching on the bottom of the cookware themselves it is actually "MCPS-12N" . I also noticed that the box says "Made in Vietnam" instead of China. Maybe this is the "newer" model that rumors pointed to having sealed rims.

After a pretty thorough inspection of each individual piece, it appears to me that the rims on all of the pots and pans are, in fact, sealed and do not show the three different layers of stainless steel and aluminum. This was a very pleasant surprise and I am extremely happy with the purchase so far!

Hopefully the sealed rims are the new standard going forward and anybody on the fence or unsure about what to buy can have some extra peace of mind when buying this particular set. They appear beautifully, well constructed, with rivets and a nice weight to them.
