Suddenly I have 2 accounts and I'm going to be double billed, a tech was sent to my address I didn't ask for, and agents can't help. Assistance please?
Last week I made a post here and the community specialist u/CCEricSt stated: "...normally there is a new offer available to customers when one expires. Do you not see any when you go online, and click "manage my plan"?"
Following his advice, I did that, saw a better rate advertised, and signed up for it.
On signing up it asked some questions like if I needed to lease their equipment, have someone out to set it up, blah blah blah and I said no to all that because I have my own router/modem and intend to keep using them. Didn't think much of it, assumed it was typical for them to ask when you change your plan.
Anyway, 2 hours later a technician knocks on my door out of nowhere asking if I called to setup service ... or cancel service? I don't recall since I was in a rush while working and just confused; told him I already have service, had it for a few years, just changed my plan. He checked his device for some details, was equally confused, shrugged and left. Feel bad he wasted his time...?
I go to check my email to see if there's something I missed, and saw in my email that I was setup to have my service cancelled? There was a message to call/etc if you didn't request it, and to my knowledge I hadn't, so I called to tell them that. Then logging into the account on the website it told me I now have two accounts at my address, and BOTH will be getting billed next month at roughly the same date.
I went on to Xfinity to get help with figuring this out with an agent, and, besides being frustratingly difficult to talk to and get answers out of, they told me they couldn't help resolve the issue.
So now I'm stuck with getting billed twice next month I guess?
Can I just get someone to fix this issue for me? I just wanted to swap over to the new plan rate as I was told to do and now I have a huge headache on my hands.
Dealing with the agents has been an interesting experience needless to say...
