Homeless cats found

Hello all, we are currently on a trip in Mississippi and found two homeless cats on Bynum Mounds (Mile 232 on the Natchez Trace parkway). One of them is pregnant.

There was a sign that someone left them here for a new home. We cannot take them with us since we are from Germany. Is there anything we can do to help them or is there someone wo can take care of them? We gave them food and water.

This is kind of an tourist spot and I dont know if there will be some local who can take care of the anytime soon.

Thank you!
