It's time to return to Xibalba's contraptions
Her trap-riddled tomb filled with darkness and gore
Advices neglected, not seen in our actions
As once more our party split up at the door

Osmanthus had different stuff to attend to
As luck found a substitute: lady Colette
The rest of our party, the same, as I lend to
My paper the story of bells tolling Rhett

SenDaal and Marianna, Carmina, a dragon,
And Dockson and Snap were again joined by me
Of course there were also a Rhett and Colette on
Our roster, so we were a group of thrice three

The bodies of kobolds had been tossed around to
Potentially make us consider our foe
A force worth respect, one not easily frowned to
With one of us dead, perhaps rightfully so

As said when I started, our group quickly scattered
And soon after ent'ring a screech made its way
The vampires' hunt was commencing, it mattered
That some of us made it there quickly, and stay

'twas Rhett who had stumbled upon kobolds waiting
And closer to death than we'd hoped we was brought
As vampires' bites have effects quite sedating
Had he not had a potion my sprint would serve naught

The two of us fought off their group, stood together
As only with Snap our collective did grow
Their bite attempts stopped by our magic and leather
They died to the Bard's sudden magical glow

We spent quite some time resting, Rhett still needed healing
The night needed conquering, onwards we went
Through familiar rooms to a large room, its ceiling
Was low enough that it for strikes itself lent

The blood-mist descending, perhaps 'twas an omen
Of ill-fated doom, not Xibalba's at that
The night was still on us, so party and bowman
Assaulted what darkness from yonder hath spat

Xibalba herself was a three-headed snake, it's
Divine yet foul magics soon brought back to life
Gigantic and vile serpents looking to bake, it's
Miraculous how we still ended this strife

As counterspells flew, interrupted said baking
And others showed great expertise in their jobs
We all felt like heroes, who, still in the making
Collectively twisted life's myriad knobs

As many a tale of heroics would teach thee
Eventually hubris will come for us all
Whatever the others say: hark as I preach, we
Were all in that room, and we all saw him fall
