Do you change into workout gear, put on your walking shoes, or head out with whatever you have on?
A follow on from my last question about whether you drive to walk or walk from home, I’m interested to know about your clothing and shoe choices?
Does walking form part of your workout routine and so you most likely change before heading out? Is walking more about the added movement benefits and so you put on your walking shoes and head out, maybe late morning, after lunch, or after dinner? Or is walking really just for the leisure of it, where you walk in whatever shoes/clothes you’re in whether it’s to the store, coffee shop, mall, with your dog, to meet a friend, to work, etc.
The reason for my questions is to reduce the mental friction I have about walking. I do enjoy it, but I find sometimes the motivation exerted to get it done daily is a lot. I find my mind bringing up all kinds of silly reasons to not walk (hence the questions so I can quiet that part a bit more).
