As I’m sure many of us are feeling totally saturated and drained simultaneously, my partner and I need to go somewhere for a week to just unwind / unplug / unravel? All of the above even…

I would do the work of searching through ample places, but like I said our batteries are running dry.

Please help with:
Somewhere beach and/or bush all within walking distance.
Braai area and place to lounge around outside comfortably.
Not more than 2 hours drive from Cape Town.
Preferably not more than R2,500 per night but honestly we’re happy to be anywhere as long as it’s clean and comfortable - doesn’t need all the modcons.
Private where we can just be without any other people to have to

I’m hoping to keep this brief while still outlining the issues my agency is experiencing.

We were hired to run the digital marketing for a global brand. We are part of the EMEA region, the brand is European, and we have our contract with our home country, to run social media for our country and neighbouring countries.

The scope of work is clearly outlined in our SLA, and to date we have produced record breaking results through our campaigns in a very short time.

Our work ethic is exceptional, we are very transparent with our clients, our processes are well documented, and we take an educational approach since even though social media seems simple, it isn’t.

We had presented our strate

Hey folks, so I’ve tried the YouTube route to learn how to sketch and watercolour but honestly, I feel overwhelmed and am not making any progress…

I’m looking for classes that will take me by my learning-feels-hard-as-an-adult hand and teach me right from scratch how to sketch and ultimately watercolour paint.

I’ve done a light google (obvs), and there are so many options, I’m not sure where to begin.

Please help this little terrified-to-get-it-wrong person with your best recommendations!

Oh and PS: if they’re Blouberg side, even better, but will travel some of the schedule works!

Hello my fellow Saffas!

I have a few well loved clothing items and shoes that I am looking to sell after dropping some weight.

I have listed them on Yaga, taking into account their tips about photo quality and descriptions, but I am quite astounded at how laborious it is to sell the items. People send me offers which I accept and then nothing…

Two things:
☝️how do you get actual buyers to your Yaga store other than being an influencer?
✌️where else can I sell clothes?

Hey Blouberg Besties!

I see there’s a Pudo locker at Eden on the Bay but when I click the location it drops nowhere near there.

I would be so grateful if someone in the know can give me exactly where about within Eden on the Bay I can find the lockers… alternatively, where else are there convenient Courier Guy drop off points in the area?

Piercing studio

Looking For...

I wanted to find out if anyone knows of a pain free piercing studio? I see there’s one in JHB but was wondering whether CT offers the same?

Specifically I’m looking to do a cluster of ear piercings, if that makes a difference - forward/helix, conch, lobe stacks that sort of vibe.

I’ve had a look at Black Betty and I wanted to hear whether there are any other recommendations.

Please and thanks!

Hey folks! I’m in the market for a new pair of running shoes… I want to have a proper assessment before buying so not interested in going to Sportsman’s or the like especially since I have heavy pronation and usually need something more stabilising than what’s available at major chain stores.

I see there’s a few running specialist stores but not sure which to go to for the widest range of brands and options.

Please point me in the right direction.

🚽💩 Question?

Side Effects

So I’m going to ramble a bit here in case anyone doesn’t want to have to read about my goings on with the porcelain throne…

Righto… I’ve been on MJ for 16 weeks now with a breakdown of dose and delivery as follows: Weeks 1-8: 2.5mg administered with vial + injection Weeks 9-12: 5mg administered with vial + injection Weeks 13-16: 5mg administered with quick pen

For the first 12 weeks I had little to no bathroom issues. Maybe a little bit of constipation here and there but I managed to sort that out by drinking loads of water, taking psyllium husk capsules, and magnesium.

Since switching to the quick pen (our country initially only had the vial available, now only have the quick pen ava

I’m a local looking for somewhere lekker for a lunch with a great view of the city/mountain/ocean or all.

I’ve got a friend visiting for a short time and want to show them what Cape Town has to offer.

AREA: City Bowl, somewhere between CBD and Seapoint areas.

BUDGET: R500-R700 per person

Where has good food, gorgeous decor and an epic view?

Open to other ideas too, but I’m leaning towards roof top for a view of the mountain/the ocean/the city or all.

Hey folks, I’m a local looking for somewhere lekker for a lunch with friends. We’re watching a show at Artscape and then planning to mosey on to a late lunch/early dinner somewhere between CBD and Seapoint areas.

Where has good food and an epic view?

I’ve looked at:

  • Infinity Restaurant on top of Hotel Sky: Reviews seemed mixed and most low ratings are about the food.
  • Jack@Sky on top of The Hyde Hotel: Food looks lovely but the decor seems a bit bland.
  • Gigi Rooftop on top of Gorgeous George: Looks gorgeous, food looks great but there seems to be a lot of T’s & C’s and no parking.

I’ve seen a few incredible other options but I can’t expect everyone to be able to fork out R700-R10

We’re thinking of doing a Christmas Day picnic at Kirstenbosch. I see from a Google search they are open, but I was looking more at weather it’s most likely going to be unbearably busy?

Has anyone done a picnic at Kirstenbosch on Christmas? I would love to hear your experience.

A follow on from my last question about whether you drive to walk or walk from home, I’m interested to know about your clothing and shoe choices?

Does walking form part of your workout routine and so you most likely change before heading out? Is walking more about the added movement benefits and so you put on your walking shoes and head out, maybe late morning, after lunch, or after dinner? Or is walking really just for the leisure of it, where you walk in whatever shoes/clothes you’re in whether it’s to the store, coffee shop, mall, with your dog, to meet a friend, to work, etc.

The reason for my questions is to reduce the mental friction I have about walking. I do enjoy it, but I find

Just wondering how people generally add walking into their day? The area I stay in is safe with good foot paths and is fairly walkable in a suburbs kind of way, but I find sometimes the “walk around the block” feels very mundane and hamster wheel-esc.

I do drive down to the beach twice a week for a walk along the promenade, although that is also becoming quite monotonous too.

I could drive a bit further out to a different beach and do some walks on the sand, or even further to do some mountain walks, but I’m kind of feeling like a 30-45 minute drive for a walk during the week feels like a lot.

I’m not sure if I’m expecting too much from walking, but I’m just wondering whether if for you

In response to the person who was asking (post got removed). I do hope admin will allow this post since it is accurate and addresses a lot of mis/disinformation.

So, this is a simple and complex answer, and if you don’t mind I will be using this opportunity to address a lot of the public mis/disinformation since there may be others reading this.

To start, our South African constitution is in full support of the entire LGBTQIA+ community and people of this minority are protected by the law. With that said, society is generally ill informed about transgender people and this has sadly created a negative online sentiment, especially now with the claw backs on human rights and diversity in Am
