Vet Advice
Black cat; a year old
Midwest US - Inside only - have searched for anything she might have gotten into and haven’t come up with anything
My girlfriend came to find our cat laying in a room drooling heavily and lethargic. I got home as fast as I could and we tried calling around to all the vets to see if anyone could get us in right at the end of the day. Sadly we could not and the only emergency vet is over an hour away. While we were trying to figure everything out, our cat has come out of that room and has stopped drooling. Found from a security camera that she threw about a half hour before my girlfriend got home and started drooling afterwards.
Our other two cats would not stop bothering us about food (we feed them right when my girlfriend gets home) so she fed them. Our cat did get up and go to the bowls and licked up a bit of wet food, not a ton.
Afterwards she’s been lethargic but attentive. Right now she’s sitting next to us trying to figure out what our other cat is doing. She’s not breathing fast or heavy.
Any advice would be appreciated. No matter what we’re taking her to our normal vet tomorrow we’re just trying to figure out if we need to emergency vet tonight.
TLDR; cat threw up and drooled heavy for about an hour. Now lethargic, but otherwise eating a bit and not acting like she’s in pain.
