Dating a former MH patient who I never worked with or had awareness of within my role, yes or no?-context below
I’m a support worker but not sure which sub to put this in, apologies!
I (29F) met a woman on hinge (27F), during the first date we chatted about what we did and I kept it brief in terms of what I do (support worker in mental health), she is stable but mentioned that in the past, she had accessed a therapy within a team I work adjacent to, but not directly with. I have personally never met this woman in the workplace setting nor have I heard her name within the workplace when discussing patients, however, I may work with colleagues that have worked with her but I can’t say that for sure. It’s also worth noting that I have now moved teams meaning that I would be even less likely to interact with her. I simply matched with her on an app and went on a date like I would with anyone else.
The question is, is this a big no? or is there nuance here? I was wondering whether it’s worth exploring timelines with her and how long she has been out of therapy, because I didn’t get this information prior. It’s only been one date so far and I’m due to see her today so suggestions would be much appreciated!
