TW advice about coercion, mention of trauma

Hello,

I (30F) have been coming to terms with the end of my relationship a year ago. There is one aspect of the relationship I’m really struggling with and need advice as to whether it was coercion.

For context, in my past relationship I would really struggle with sex for periods of time. I have a trauma history and now have discovered that I have ASD, so can struggle with being touched.

In my relationship, my ex (male) did lots to support me but we struggled by the end, especially with intimacy. He said that if he doesn’t have sex, he won’t sleep and if he doesn’t have sleep for 3 days then he will develop psychotic symptoms. He was critical o

Hi all,

I’m 29 years old and finally want to start my driving lessons again to give me something to work towards. I had some manual driving lessons earlier this year but I didn’t get on with the driver instructor and I struggle with coordination. I’ve decided I want to start automatic driving lessons in the new year and found an instructor who seems really nice and has been recommended for anxious/neurodiverse students (I am on the waiting list for an autism assessment)

However, I was discharged from the crisis team earlier this week after having worked with them for 2 months. I’m no longer actively suicidal but I have fleeting suicidal thoughts with no intent. I was prescribed short-term

Universal Credit savings

Universal Credit (UC)

(UK based)

I have over 6,000 savings but under 10,000, which has been declared to universal credit. My dad has kindly offered to pay for a large tattoo as a gift which will be costly, upwards of £1,000. I have two questions about declaring savings:

  1. given my current declared savings exceeds 6,000, do I declare the gift as capital if it’s going to be transferred into my account and then spent on something straight afterwards? which will be reflected in my bank statement

  2. Is there a certain amount that your savings has to drop before you report that as a change in your savings? or do you report it every month even if there hasn’t been a significant change in savings?

I’m a support worker but not sure which sub to put this in, apologies!

I (29F) met a woman on hinge (27F), during the first date we chatted about what we did and I kept it brief in terms of what I do (support worker in mental health), she is stable but mentioned that in the past, she had accessed a therapy within a team I work adjacent to, but not directly with. I have personally never met this woman in the workplace setting nor have I heard her name within the workplace when discussing patients, however, I may work with colleagues that have worked with her but I can’t say that for sure. It’s also worth noting that I have now moved teams meaning that I would be even less likely to interact

For context, I (29F) have been struggling with my mental health for a while now but over the past month, I have reached a crisis (after a few years of stability) I got to this point in short, because I put everyone’s needs above my own. My friend (25F) in the past, has said that she worries about me as I always put others before myself.

Since August, I have been trying to reach out to my friend to ask to visit her, as she lives in another city, expressing that I’m struggling and could do with a friend. In the moment, she provides some validation and suggests plans that we can do together, this fills me with hope. However, later, she changes the plans and I only know this because I am the o

Sorry, this is a long post.

I (29F) have BPD and yesterday went through a breakup. My now-ex knew about my mental health and how it impacts me from the outset (sensitive to abandonment, rejection etc) My ex is severely depressed and he suddenly cut contact for a month, leaving me in a state of uncertainty about why he chose to cut contact with me. I was told not to tell anyone what was going on with him, so I had no one to go to for support or discuss my feelings with. I was patient and gave him all the space he needed, even though it killed me. We rekindled contact about two weeks ago, I owned every action of mine that upset him, took accountability and put actions in place for those. The

I (29F) and my partner (30M) are both are difficult points in our mental health journeys, I have BPD and he has depression. I was already struggling with my mental health and my partner cut contact with me for a month because he wasn’t confident in my ability to support him with his mental health crisis. While this made me angry because it felt like an abandonment, I understood that he did what he had to do. We reinstated contact about a week ago, then due to a miscommunication which made him spiral, he cut contact again as and his best friend told me that if he were to end his life, it would be on me.

The last contact we had (combined with other stressful events in my life) have made me sp

Hi all,

I claim PIP for mental health reasons. I received the outcome of my PIP review in June 2025 and I was reduced from enhanced daily and standard mobility to just standard mobility. I didn’t agree with the outcome but I didn’t have it in me to appeal it due to the risk of it being removed altogether.

However, I’ve now found myself in the worst mental health crisis I’ve had in years. I’ve had to take at least a month off work and stay with my parents as there are serious concerns about my safety, I haven’t been able to eat or prepare food independently, I haven’t been able to leave the house without support, I’ve had multiple changes made to medication (including 2 new medication addit

For context I have BPD and have been stable for some years. (UK based)

However, I’ve been met with multiple stressors: I work in healthcare supporting people with complex needs (the workload is becoming too much), my relationship is on the brink (my partner is struggling mentally and suddenly cut contact), I’ve had a death in the family and I suddenly found out that I’m due to undergo therapy for SA. All of this has happened in a matter of weeks.

I tried to reach out for support to the crisis team, explained that I am unable to cope and I’m planning to end my life. I called with the one ounce of hope I had left, in the hope I could get support. However, they dismissed me and assumed all of

throwaway as I have nowhere else to turn

I have multiple stressful events happening at once in my life. 1) I’m in a demanding job working in a caring role supporting people with complex needs 2) I’ve experienced a death in the family, meaning I can’t rely on my family for support 3) my partner is going through a paranoia episode/mental health crisis and he has suddenly cut contact completely

For context, I have BPD and have been relatively stable for some years. However, this year my health started to decline aside from the stressful events listed above.

I am not close to the family member that passed away as they were horrible to me for reasons I won’t state, however, I need to suppor
