How do make I acquaintances in corporate America?

I’ve had a couple internships, that are 10 weeks. Most have been remote but I’m doing my first on site internship. I just work, I try to share some quality time with my team, but it feel when I try to ask questions like “how was your weekend?” It’s so one side and they don’t ask me anything. I can’t tell if they even like me or not. I can’t go days without them greeting me or talking to them. But my main question is how do I work in a corporate environment, or at least get semi close to my team. I don’t expect to make friends, but I feel like if I spend 40 hours of my week somewhere I shouldn’t feel like an outsider. Any advice? Is this how corporate America is? How can I be socially successful in corporate America.
