Summary of Last Session (Friday, November 28, 2025)

The week ended on a flat, cautious note as the market paused for breath ahead of the major GDP data release.

  • Closing Value: NIFTY 50 closed virtually unchanged at 26,202.95, down marginally by ~13 points (-0.05%)
  • The Context: It was a classic "Wait and Watch" session. The index opened slightly positive but remained range-bound between 26,170 – 26,280 as traders avoided aggressive positions before the Q2 GDP numbers
  • Sectoral Performance:
    • Gainers: Auto (+0.6%) and Pharma (+0.6%) provided support. Stocks like M&M (+2.1%) and Sun Pharma (+1.2%) were top gainers
    • Drags: IT and Oil & Gas saw mild profit booking
  • Institutional Activity:
    • FIIs: Net Sellers of ~₹3,795 Cr (Selling pressure resumed) :-(
    • DIIs: Net Buyers of ~₹4,148 Cr (Absorbed the selling completely)

Outlook for Monday, December 1, 2025

The outlook for Monday is Bullish with a Gap-Up Opening expected. The "weekend news" has been overwhelmingly positive.

1. The Mega Trigger: Q2 GDP Beat (8.2%)8

  • The News: Government data released on Friday evening showed India's Q2 GDP grew by a robust 8.2%, smashing street estimates (which were around 7.0–7.2%)
  • Impact: This is a massive fundamental trigger. It confirms that the economic engine is firing on all cylinders (Manufacturing +9%, Construction +7%), which may force FIIs to re-evaluate their selling stance

2. Implied Opening: 200+ Point Gap Up

  • GIFT Nifty Cue: Trading at 26,516 (as of Saturday morning). It even touched a high of 26,565 in the session
  • Implied Start: This indicates a massive gap-up of roughly 200-300 points from the Nifty close of 26,202.
  • Opening Level: NIFTY could possibly open directly near 26,450 – 26,500

3. Global Tailwind

  • US Markets: Even though it was a half-day session on Friday, US markets closed Green. The S&P 500 (+0.57%) and Nasdaq (+0.63%) hit fresh highs, keeping the global sentiment positive

Technical Levels & Trading Plan

LevelSignificanceStrategy
26,500Psychological HurdleIf Nifty opens here, profit booking is likely in the first 5 mins
26,350Support (Gap)Any dip towards this level is a blind "Buy"
26,600Blue Sky TargetIf 26,500 sustains for 30 mins, this is the next stop

Trading Strategy for Monday

  • "Buy on Dips" (Aggressive):
    • Don't Chase 26,500: A 300-point gap-up is massive. The RSI on hourly charts will be overbought instantly
    • Wait for the 10 AM Settlement: Let the initial euphoria settle. If NIFTY dips to 26,400 and finds support, enter Long
    • Sector Focus: Bank Nifty and Infra/Capital Goods stocks (L&T, Ultratech) should lead the rally due to the strong GDP (Construction/Manufacturing data)
