Struggling to feel like part of the team

Kindness & Support :snoo_hearteyes:

Hey guys. I got licensed this year and I, like most other new attorneys, experienced some culture shock when I first started practicing. I am at a tiny smalltown firm and I am having trouble finding my niche/feeling like part of the team. My firm is rather type b, which is one of the things that I like about it, but also one of the things that drives me nuts. We tend to have some communication issues, which is surprising considering how small we are, but nonetheless, I would say that is the root problem of many others. They have a tendency to drag their feet on many of the things required of them to have a new attorney. I recognize that most of this comes from the end of the year chaos and having bigger fish to fry than making sure the baby lawyer has all the tools, but it is starting to make me feel like there are the other lawyers here (or the REAL lawyers) and me. I was quick to befriend the support staff, even before I was licensed, and I fear they see me as like a sort-of-attorney. Coupled with not getting me set up with things that I have asked for and being intentionally excluded from some matters by the other attorneys (though often for understandable reasons), I am really having a difficult time feeling like I'm part of the club so-to-speak. I am young and the only woman attorney here. Curious if anyone has experienced anything similar, or if anyone has any advice for me.
