DigimonCard now supports advanced search syntax (ala Scryfall)
https://digimoncard.io/card-database
I know on my last post here, I said I'd cool it with posting changelogs here (I promise this is the last one for a while), but I figured this is a really nice bonus to cap off the week as we move into the weekend. From the feedback I have received lately it seems a suprising amount of people wanted better ways to actually search for cards.
As such, I introduce advanced search syntax!
This is something I've been asked to implement since 2016 beginning with YGOPRODeck and I've only gotten around to it this week solely on DigimonCard. The architecture I've built the site on allows rapid feature implementation and bug fixing so I hope you enjoy this new feature!
This new update allows you to chain search categories on a single search input to return various results. Here are some examples:
type:Option effect:Draw(name:Garurumon OR name:Greymon) effect:Blocker dp:>=3000 (color:Red OR color:Blue) NOT stage:Baby level:3-7set:ex7 color:purple type:digimon effect:blocker dp:=3000dp:>=10000 level:6-7 (color:Red OR color:Blue) keyword:Rush,Blocker type:Digimon digitype:"Royal Knight" NOT stage:Baby
I've added a helper modal on the search input of the card database page to showcase these examples.
You can additionally save your searches within the site and recall on them at any time.

In addition to this, I've slightly rewrote the manual filter UI on this page and further optimized it for mobile improvements.
I hope you enjoy this feature! As it is a first, there may be bugs and the responses are only as good as the data we have and how we store that data. The best place to report issues is in the bug report area on the site.
Tournament Results
I'll leave a small note here that we are also now accepting Tournament Results on the site. These are all subject to moderator approval but any member of the community can submit a result. Once we have some data, I'll build reports off it and further integrate it across the site.
And with that, I rest for the weekend (bar any bugs that come out of this!). A big thanks to everyone who gave kind words, constructive criticism, and bug reports over the last few days.
