I'm in quite a bit of debt and I don't see a way out

Okay so I used to work, can't anymore for a while due to disability and mental health problems, I took out debt I thought I could pay back but my job messed me around and took away my hours so I couldn't earn the money to pay it back and I tried to get a new job but nowhere would take me and then I crashed and burned mentally so I'm out of work for the foreseeable future. It's really hard to keep on top of it, I think I have less than 1k in debt and I know others have it worse but that is a lot of money to me and I can't see myself being able to pay it back due to the situation I'm in. I called one of the debt support things and they just paused the interest for a few months but I don't have the money to pay off the debt either way so it just keeps adding up and adding up and it's never going to end. I don't know what to do.
