25 USA, he's been to the vet!
Had lumps, between 6-7 months old, male, not yet fixed.

Little Modo has been to the vet!! It turned out to be a cat bite abscess! Apparently they poked it with a scaple and it just came shooting out. They injected him with some Antibiotics and sent me home with pain meds for him. He has a clean bill of health besides the abscess.. no parasites, no FIV, and no feline leukemia! All great news. Unfortunately he wasn't able to get any of the other shots he needed yet because apparently he has a fever of 105!! 😱 Any higher and he could've suffered organ damage or worse. I saw him cleaning himself for the first time right after they drained it. It was only one bite, but it ended up swelling so much that it had spread down to his cheek. With his condition, they said they would call me over the next couple days to check-in on him and see how he is doing. We have a follow-up scheduled in 2 weeks, if the abscess refills itself we will have to put a drain in him temporarily so it can clear itself out properly.. Furthermore if the part of the abscess that is in his cheek doesn't go down anymore in these 2 weeks, then we'll probably have to lance that area as well. Other than that he's doing great! Vets were super proud of him, he was really patient and did extremely well during the visit, especially considering everything they had to do to him. I did hear him yelp when they lanced his abscess.. I was told he didn't like it because it hurt ofc, but he took it like a champ 💪... We both got very lucky to have found each other when we did, I'm glad I was able to save this little sweetie from such a terrible situation. I will probably be posting any following updates on my profile. Thank all of you for your help and advice!

(P.S./PSA: Please don't drain or perform procedures by yourself, unless you have the proper training, tools, treatments, etc.. and even still.. I'd say go to a professional if you can help it.
