Existing customer looking for a lower price.

I was on a 800 Mbs + home phone plan for years and it got way out of control, $142 a month. About a month ago I contacted support about lowering my rate and I was told I could bring my interenet up to 1 Gbs + home phone for $88 a month, but to get in on the promo I'd have to add a line, like a ipad. So I ended up getting an ipad, that I don't need (or really even want), for $20 a month + the service for $10 a month. So know my bill is $88 for internet + home phone + $30 for ipad + service. For a total of $118.

Honestly, at the time I thought going from $142 -> $118 was pretty good but now looking at all the $50 deals I can't help but be a little jealous. I understand I took the ipad of my own volition, but it was kind of presennted in a way that made it seem like that was the only way to get a jump on a lower rate.

I'm wondering if there's ayway to maye get in on the $50 promo and drop the ipad service (I know I'd still be paying $20/month to "purchase" it). So something like $50 for internet + $10 for home phone + $20 to ay off the ipad, so like $80 a month total.
