Good book on current/future (geo)politics

I'm looking for a book for a good friend of mine. Ideally, it should be a pocket book, and there should be a german translation available, but it's no hard requirement.

He liked both "Prisoners of Geography" and "The Power of Geography" by Tim Marshall.

So I thought about the follow-up "The Future of Geography", though I'm unsure about how relevant it is, it seems a lot more abstract/speculative (but maybe the main strength of the book is to convince me otherwise)?

Some other ideas I had are:

- Material World (Ed Conway)

- Abundance (Ezra Klein)

Both would be really interesting, unfortunately they don't yet have a (german) pocket book.

So if you read any of those, I'd love to hear your opinions on them.

Also, please feel free to suggest other books that might fit!

Thanks :)
