Smelting, food storing and other survival mechanics similar to Vintage Story

What's your opinion? Both games have somewhat similar central idea. I like Vintage Story gameplay and mechanics and 7DtD sometimes lacks depth or things to do at night.

It could be better direction then what we've seen lastly i 7DtD.
