The Terminator scenario and sentience

I was just thinking about the possibility of an all out war that will destroy humanity and how it is always linked to a Skynet-like entity that reached the singularity and entered the sentient phase. While not entirely impossible, given the current situation that LLMs seem to produce dumbf*cks at a fast accelerating rate, I think that this is not required. A similar scenario might be reached with a simple LLM that people are overreliant on. Just a Chat GPT version 67 that authoritatively states that a nuclear attack is imminent with a 99,999% certainty and a dumb human pushing the correct button are all we need. To those still thinking that LLMs won't be given access to military installations, I assure you, with the current stupidity levels they will, probably pretty fast. Just a discussion seed...
