Is anyone else more annoyed at the playoff draw than the result?

After a few days to lament on our loss to Ole Miss, I'm generally not too upset. We had a great season, won a lot of games that we probably shouldn't have, won the SEC again, and lost to a damn good team. So why do I feel so frustrated?

Well, most of us were probably hoping we'd at least make the semifinal. And that's justified. But the more I think about it, I'm more annoyed that we had to play Ole Miss again. I know that's how the bracket shook out, but the fact that we had such a great season is a little soured by the fact that we didn't get any interesting OOC matchup to end it!

Every year since 1997, regardless of how good or bad we were, we've gotten to end our season against an opponent that we typically never play. We didn't get that this year, instead we got a second rematch. I think I'd be less annoyed with our season ending now if we had lost to any of the other 3 teams left in the field.

I'm not really suggesting any changes to the way the playoff seeding works, just venting my frustration that we ended our season against two teams that we'd already played.
