Queer Couple Recommendation

Hi everyone! I’ve been creeping in this sub, but now I’m looking for some advice.

My wife and I (both 27F) are currently in Austin, TX. We are from Oklahoma & moved down here about six years ago. We did move to Denver, CO for a year but came back to Austin. (I hated Denver). We want to have children, and I am very concerned about living in a red state as a queer couple wanting kids.

We are looking for a blue state, good education, and good healthcare. I also really want a good airport - direct flights to Austin & Tulsa are a plus! We make about $130k combined.

The issue we keep running into is proximity to family. We have family in Austin, Oklahoma, and Missouri. One of our top choices is Kansas City, but it’s in a red state. (We’d live on the MO side). We are also considering Minneapolis, but it’s farther than I’d like it to be.

Any advice is appreciated :)
