The 1st bus on the schedule not running.

I'm not sure what's causing this, but the first bus on the 215 schedule (Quincy C > Ashmont 5:35am) is just not running. I understand if they're late given the weather/road conditions, but at my stop, the MBTA app will count down the minutes all the way down to 1 minute as if it's going to arrive, then it just doesn't. This happened both yesterday and today. Does the app not factor in cancelled busses? Is there a place I can go to see if they're going to be cancelled in the future?
