Wobo released a new video today and, like before with my "Loot Spots You Might Have Missed!" series, plenty of info I shared with him didn't make it into the video. So like last time, in this post I'm going to add other important things people should know the topic to ensure survivors can save time and especially gas mask filters during loot runs in these dangerous environments.
I'll solely focus on Chernarus for this one but Livonia players can find more info in Wobo's video and maybe also go through my series to see if any static gas zone buildings have hidden spots worth checking out.
This time I won't include infos from the aforementioned video and only post stuff not said. So it's highly recommended to watch Wobo's video first before continuing reading. Thank you!
Anyway, let's begin:
MB Pavlovo
Beige workshop with TV inside (Land_Workshop3). Already showcased in Part 1; two of these exist in MB Pavlovo and both can be climbed on, though for the shown workshop in the pic you need to run down the slope and then jump at the right moment. Confirmed to spawn loot.
.
The medical cabinets have loot spots on top of them except for the one at the ground floor, as seen in image 2. It also shows a spot on a crate under the staircase and this is the ONLY spot in that room (not counting the stairs here).
.
From all the furniture piles/fallen over furniture/upside down furniture, ONLY these 3 have loot on them (or also near them as seen in image 1).
.
Those two corridors at ground level are empty, however the one without the enterable room has two spots on a bench as seen in image 1.
.
On the roof, only the concrete table in the center and the roof of the ladder house have a few spots for spawning loot (table has 3 while roof of ladder house has 2). The rest of the roof + the entire interior of the ladder house is will never have loot.
.
In the hospital (Land_City_Hospital) there are a few spots where loot can situationally be hidden by objects, depending on where the game decides to put them in the circle. Image 1 shows a loot spot intersecting with a box and a fallen over bench so items could spawn under them, though it's rather unlikely concerning the bench. Image 2 shows the same but the object is a wooden pallette this time. Image 3 was taken in the long corridor in the 1st floor (2nd for Americans) and you can see a small part of the loot spot between bench and floor. Image 4 is on the ground floor again, this time there are two loot spots partially going under shelves. the cyan one also intersecting with a chair. One time I discovered a blood bag kit fully hidden by the shelf.
.
At ground floor in the second room there's nothing spawning on the right wall apart from a shelf loot spot on the desk.
.
Lower roof of hospital has no spots.
Rify Shipwreck
Some of the bollards have an issue with sunken in loot spots. If loot spawns at them, the vicinity menu will NOT be able to pick them up. I advise looking at each \"pillar\" individually and see if anything can be picked up. Feel free to also try the vicnity menu though. Also, the last six bollards at the stern are lootless, as shown in the video.
.
Stairs going up to the superstructure: As can be seen, the circles intersect with the stairs and even with the walls. This can cause clipping issues, unsurprisingly. Check this area carefully and on the other side of the wall too.
.
A few things to highlight in this screenshot: a weapon spot in the corner next to those \"barrel\" objects. Loot spots under the lifeboats and also on top of the winches (4 lifeboat winches so 4 loot spots in total). No loot under all the stairs shown in this screenshot. And last, a floor spot which is on the floor of the lifeboat, causing clipping issues (luckily just on this side). Everything apart from the last point also applies to the other side of the ship.
.
In the center of the ship, the deepest deck reachable has no rooms adjacent to it, only stairs leading up. Also, the stairs there have loot spawn locations under them.
.
These four corridors (first three are at the bow section while the last one is at the other not far from the break up) are lootless.
.
Main/stern section, at the break up point: Luckily no spawn points at main deck level but there can be items one deck lower. Less dangerous however.
.
There's no need to climb these as there's no loot on them. Only those two though.
.
Screenshot 1 & 2: Taken on the deck in which the bunk beds and lockers are. Loot can ONLY be found in the cabins and the toilet room on this deck, the halls, corridors and that empty room (screenshot 2) are devoid of loot spots. Screenshot 3: Staircases also have no spots but loot spawn locations can be close to their start and end. In addition, with the exception of the first two rooms in the bow, there's no stuff between the ship's ribs. Screenshot 4: No loot on the carg hatches
.
At the stern, the entire area in orange has no possible spawn locations with the exception of a single one which requires climbing a ladder to reach.
.
These two objects have no loot spots anywhere. Items could get near or even clip into if an adjacent ground spot touches it, as seen in image 1.
.
The shown ladder DOES NOT WORK! There's no option to climb up and when trying to do the opposite, the character will glitch around never get down! The only way to get up there and loot is to get on the hatches on the other side and run and jump. Eventually the character should grab the railing and climb up.
Safe Zones at the Gas Zones
For MB Pavlovo, only roof level and above at the office building and the hospital grant safety from the gas.
For Rify, everything under the main bridge deck (where the steering wheel is) is dangerous.
Dynamic gas zones are noticably lower, often the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) is enough to breathe freely.
Additional Notes
At 6:11 of the video, while the shown cargo areas at the break up have little to no possible spawn locations, the walkways along the edges one deck higher have two spots each!
While it's likely that buildings and their spots/lootless areas are the same across maps, there's a low chance that differences exist. Once I get to it I will check and add any info if neccessary.
If you're unsure which building I am talking about, copy the classname I've given under every building (e.g. Land_House_1W07) to the search bar of iZurvive (dayz.xam.nu also works), go to the "Models" tab and, if the building is present on the map, it will appear. Now you'll have a proper picture of the building and you can even check out where on the map you can find the searched building.
Apart from all of that, feel free to share good spots you didn't see on my list or ask any questions you might have. I'll be delighted to answer them!
