Self-help book with a chapter that mentions Ted Kaczynski

I don’t really have a lot of details because I only read some excerpts from this book in high school so I only really remember this one chapter.

It was a self-help book, and this one chapter talks about Ted Kaczynski, specifically about his involvement in the MKUltra experiments at Harvard. That’s all I really remember from an objective standpoint, but subjectively the authors argument really pissed me off. The author (don’t remember but it was definitely a white man if that helps) basically made the argument that if Kaczynski had followed his advice he probably wouldn’t have bombed people, and it just wasn’t really a compelling argument to me.

Sorry this is all I remember, I feel it must’ve been a decently popular self-help book but my searches aren’t coming up with anything. Hope someone knows the answer, thanks!
