Has anyone successfully installed AGF30136302 (2022 panel) into a 2018 LG B8? Need compatibility confirmation.

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to revive my LG OLED65B8PLA (manufactured 09/2018). The panel has burn-in, but the TV still works. I found a brand-new sealed panel locally for cheap, but I’m unsure if it is compatible.

Here is the exact panel I’m considering:

Panel kit number (on box):

65 MODULE

AGF30136302

Assembly sticker (on the same box):

Shows “OLED Module Assembly”

Code beginning with EAJ6…

Date: 2022/11/20

This suggests it is part of LG’s newer-generation WBE/EX service stock (2021–2022).

What I know so far:

• This panel number AGF30136302 was documented in a C2 repair case. A C2 owner had this installed as a replacement panel. [1](https://www.redditmedia.com/r/OLED\_Gaming/comments/1fea2cc/lg\_cx\_65\_new\_replaced\_panel\_different\_of\_old\_panel/)

• Newer LG OLEDs (CX, C1, C2) can accept newer WBE/Evo-type panels. Several CX → WBE panel replacements have worked. [2](https://www.avsforum.com/threads/diy-oled-panel-replacement-swap-and-compatibility.3157412/)

• Another CX owner received a WBE/MMG/GZ panel assembly and it worked fine. [3](https://www.ebay.com/b/LG-TV-T-Con-Boards/163768/bn\_747875)

BUT:

• All known B8 replacements stayed within the B8/C8 WBC panel family. A B8 owner got a replacement with a different module ID but still B8-compatible. [4](https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/tsfpmk/anyone\_have\_experience\_with\_a\_panel\_replacement/)

• Another B8 replacement looked like a “newer” 2019 panel but had part numbers only compatible with B8/C8. [5](https://www.reddit.com/r/OLED/comments/j226d8/lg\_b7\_panel\_replacement\_process\_and\_timeline/)

My question:

Has ANYONE ever successfully installed a newer-generation panel module (WBE/EX or newer, 2021–2022), specifically AGF30136302, into an LG B8 (Alpha 7 Gen1)?

I want to know if:

• B8 + newer WBE/EX panel has EVER worked

• B8 + AGF30136302 has ever worked

• B8 can run a 2022 service panel at all

Photos I will include:

• Back label of my B8 (OLED65B8PLA – manufactured 09/2018)

• The AGF30136302 box label

• The 2022 “OLED Module Assembly” sticker

Reason:

I already bought a new LG C5 77” for main use. The B8 is for a secondary room. If this 300€ panel MIGHT work, I’m okay with imperfect performance. I only need it to function at all.

If not compatible, I want to avoid wasting money.

Any LG techs, repair engineers, or panel-swap users — please share your experience. Even ONE success story is enough to take the gamble.

Thanks!
