Is there a way to know beforehand whether a game will require internet to run?

I was looking at Battleheart, I can't see anywhere on the play store whether the game needs a data connection for me to play it. I have no idea where to look for that kind of info.

If I'm not mistaken, it should be in the app permissions when you click install.

This is a good indicator but it can be misleading. Some apps use Internet permission for ads or IAPs or things like that, but they play perfectly well without.

If you see an app without Internet permission, though, it's pretty much guaranteed to work without Internet.

Nope, Battleheart doesn't require data connection.

Source: I got the app.

I think very very very few games require internet to run unless they are something like farmville. It should be really obvious.

There are many games where you wouldn't expect it. Examples can be Simpsons: Tapped out (requires fulltime connection) and Dungeon Hunter 4 (needs it for time-based actions, upgrading items, etc...). Main reason seems to be they are afraid of cheats and losing money (there are a lots of IAPs in both).
