Waiting for you
The trees grew big, pink flowers, and then got bold,
People were born, grew up and then they got old,
The soil was hot and dry, then covered in snow,
I aw my life walking by, steady and slow.
I sit on a stone, and I look at the moon,
Maybe you'll come today, maybe you'll come soon,
Maybe one day you'll be ready to love me,
And maybe one day you'll fall down on one knee.
I got white hair and wrinkles waiting for you,
And I got shorter, but my love for you grew,
I heard the stars whispering to me one day,
That once you are ready, you will come my way.
