Shifting industries from Law to Legal Tech. Do you have any wisdom for starting/preparing for a completely new CSM?

I’ve been in the Legal Industry for the last 5 years and decided to switch into a Legal tech (Legal software) CSM role as I enjoyed the Operations side of working in a firm.

I start my new job in a few days.

I have never been a CSM before, honestly never even knew the role existed, and I’m not really sure what I’m walking into outside of the company’s welcome pack and interview questions. I noticed that a lot of posts in this sub express stress and discourse with the job- I can’t lie, it’s a little worrying as I have no experience in this industry.

Do you have any tips to prepare for the role?

Are there any important techniques, mindsets, online training, pitfalls to avoid, etc. that I should do be mindful of before/after starting?

I would be grateful for any wisdom about your experience/how to smash this new role. Thank you.
