Can we talk about the dance choreography in Bridgerton???

Man I can’t say this is the Bridgerton subreds or I’ll get flamed to bits and I don’t think this is spoilery but far out watching S4 (and at times in the past seasons) why does the dancing often not match the melody and rhythm of the music?!!

Don‘t get me wrong I love the use of modern music and I’m not a stickler it needs to be period correct moves but for example S4 at Hyacinth’s and Mrs Penwood’s ball why are they SOO BOUNCY when the music doesn’t warrant that style?!?! It’s sooo awkward to watch.

I just feel like the dances in Bridgerton are often miss the emotional crescendos I’m after, though s2 did it well but Kanthony had tension radiating off them already. My fave dance scenes like the ball in S&S 2009 or Sanditon ball in S1 and S3, the tension was PALPABLE and dance choreography BEAUTIFUL.

Anyone feel the same (please don’t hate me lol)
