Spanian Kebabs have set up a lone food truck on Abbotsford Rd in Bowen Hill and driving past last night seeing the people lining up amongst the closed factories feels like an odd choice of location but im all livening up dead parts of town...

I also love restaurants in bowlos/clubs. King of Wings a while back closed their stafford shop to open in Grange footy club and Nyonya Kitchen is at several bowlos. Getting live music and possibly winning a meat tray during dinner is the best thing ever.

Any more unexpected spots in bris worth discovering? Any direction...

I’ve been wondering about this for a while and I don’t think they do, but I want to be sure haha. We all know western platforms like Netflix, Disney etc might have limited licences or even pull titles they produced and own. Do WeTV, iqiyi etc do the same thing? I mean titles get pulled occasionally for censorship but not for library curation or space I guess?

I pretty much subscribe to all the platforms bar Mango and I don’t think I’ve ever seen this happen to C-drama titles but I may not be keeping track of older titles? Will one day my favourite dramas get pulled without a chance of a goodbye watch?

What about the dramas that are on two platforms like POJ, do they both get to host them f

Man I can’t say this is the Bridgerton subreds or I’ll get flamed to bits and I don’t think this is spoilery but far out watching S4 (and at times in the past seasons) why does the dancing often not match the melody and rhythm of the music?!!

Don‘t get me wrong I love the use of modern music and I’m not a stickler it needs to be period correct moves but for example S4 at Hyacinth’s and Mrs Penwood’s ball why are they SOO BOUNCY when the music doesn’t warrant that style?!?! It’s sooo awkward to watch.

I just feel like the dances in Bridgerton are often miss the emotional crescendos I’m after, though s2 did it well but Kanthony had tension radiating off them already. My fave dance scene

I had my single mastectomy with implant back at the end of Oct so it’s been a solid two months now… I thought I was healing up fine and breezed through my checkups but I don’t know if it was over exertion from pre-Xmas prep but implant has been a little cranky out of the blue for about 3 days now - warm to touch (when obviously should be cold) slightly swollen and tender. No major colour changes, discharge or fever to report yet.

I’ve texted my BC nurse but it is awkward timing being just post Xmas and the weekend. I may not hear back until Monday.

Has anyone experienced the same thing? Have I aggravated it somehow and it’ll settle eventually or should I be wary of possible infection? Than

So I've been in and out of hospital past 5 months battling cancer and now that I've out of active treatment (and have been palmed off to oncology), I'd love to send a gift to amazing and crazy hard-working health care team. It's a bit tricky there is so many departments from surgery & nursing to pathlabs to physio but will probably send to the main surgery team which coordinated everything.

Generally speaking what's gets accepted by hospitals? Are there any rules to follow? Flowers are useless so not sending that. Do they take say a cake if it's send directly from bakery etc? Will also send a thank you feedback through the official online channels.

Some ideas or insights would be appreciat

How long did your cording last?!

Diagnosed Patient or Survivor Support

It’s been two weeks since my re-excision surgery (a month since the first lumpectomy and sentinel biopsy) and I’ve got cording underneath my armpit.

It’s rather uncomfortable and the twang varies hour to hour so I’m constantly trying to massage / stretch my armpit…

I’ve had my checkup and the team was like it’s normal and keeping doing the exercises but in everyone’s experience, how long does this last? What’s a light vs severe case of cording look like?

…on all transactions including FUCKING TAKEAWAY. They raise prices and add service charge and have card fees? They can absolutely get stuffed.

Came in to get some doughnuts for a birthday and if I didn’t have someone in the fam who’s gluten intolerant I would never shop there again out of principle. These charges are now taking the piss…

Would love some opinions, I was looking at it the other day and the wheels are tiny! Not the standard size.

Is the durability decent or have people had issues? I do love the smart/tech pocket which is quite hard to find on a soft side suitcase... they used to come in colours and now they're only in depressing grey or black too :/

Any owners at all? I love the shape but does it have the structural rigidity or thick enough leather to work as a laptop bag? I would need it to fit a 14" MacBook without ruining it.

It's currently on sale online from my local department store so I can't go in and test. Any reviews, thoughts appreciated!

Is colour grading subject to budgetary constraints or is it done by AI filter these days?

I'm watching Citadel Diana which came out in 2024 and the inconsistent colour grading is driving me nuts. It goes randomly goes significantly darker mid-scene on a person that was brighter and in the same composition moments ago. And then reverts back and forth, multiple times an episode. I've tried every picture mode.

Is this a symptom of poor quality control or are there other shows with horrendous or patchy colour grading?

Watching Simone Ashley's new film Picture This and no hate but I can't get over how Americany romcom it feels and specifically that Netflix/prime flavour of formulaic sparkly vibes romcom. It's so jarring to watch as the British are not that zingy. The amount of public yelling SA's character did was wild and the 'I'm not like other girls' clumsy chaos. Like I've also seen Turkish and Korean romcoms on Netflix with the exact same vibes, just in another language.

Does anyone else feel a bit weirded out by no matter the culture, no matter the setting, how homogenous the specific brand of Netflix/Prime rom coms feel?

Not where our parents get their jewellery or repairs, where they've stocked the same designs for the past 30 years, but modern designs - I need some earrings to wear 24/7.

Min 18cts (obviously!). Please and thank you!

[for context why Asian jewellers so you don't come at me, most western jewellers stock 9cts/14cts which won't match with my other stuff]

I've just acquired a decant of Nishane Hacivat for the first time. It might be just me but I swear this fragrance has clear scent halos. I catch a whiff of my scent bubble and it smells mildly masculine, and yet I smell my wrist and smells more feminine. It's tripping me out!

Does anyone get that with Hacivat or any other perfumes?! I think this is the first time I've experienced this with a scent...
