What kind of therapist helps unpack confusing childhood memories / possible boundary issues?

NSFW

I recently had a conversation with my mom that revealed some things about my childhood I never really understood before. When I was younger, my dad apparently accused my mom of cheating and even questioned whether I was really his son, bringing up physical differences between us. Some of that involved comments about my body that, as a kid, I didn’t fully understand.

Now that I’m older and looking back on it, some of those memories feel a lot more uncomfortable than they did at the time. I’m starting to wonder if parts of it may have crossed some kind of boundary, or if it was just a really unhealthy family dynamic.

I made another post venting about it with more details if context helps ( https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueOffMyChest/comments/1rlsfuo/conversation_with_my_mom_brought_up_an/ ), but fair warning that it gets a little awkward/NSFW.

Since that conversation with my mom, I keep replaying old memories that never really bothered me before, and I’m realizing I probably need to talk to a professional to sort this out. I’ve been to therapy before for stress, but never for something this personal involving childhood, body issues, or possible sexual boundaries.

I guess I just don’t know where to start. What kind of therapist or specialization would be best for unpacking something like this? Is this something trauma-focused therapists deal with? And is this the kind of thing even appropriate to talk about in therapy, or is it too far into uncomfortable territory?
