My cat won’t play on her own???

My (10 month old spayed female) rescue kitten came home with a few behavioural issues - mainly aggression. she’s got a very diva personality with strong boundaries and a lot of pent-up aggression from spending most of her life in the shelter in a cage. she’s VERY feisty. i’m working tirelessly to get her to stop directing her aggression at me by respecting her boundaries around being handled and redirecting aggression to wand toys.

this has been working great except now she pesters me CONSTANTLY even when i’m trying to sleep like i can’t do ANYTHING because she constantly wants me to play and when i don’t for too long she starts attacking me!!

i’ve tried getting her TONS of other kinds of toys, balls that make noise, springs, you name it. she doesn’t interact with them at all! it’s like she either doesn’t know how or she doesn’t find it stimulating enough. all she likes to do is tear up my couch and all my toilet paper rolls. i can’t constantly run around with a wand toy getting her to chase it though i need to have a life 😭😭😭

i’m a 23 year old adult from canada. i haven’t taken her to the vet yet but she was having reg vet checkups while at the shelter and has been cleared of any medical issues. i can afford vet care and everything but i don’t want to keep burning money on toilet paper and bandaids for all my wounds!!
