What did you do for your cat’s last days?

My girlfriend’s cat only has a few days left with us. We’ve gotten him his favorite food/treats, cleaned his room, we already have professional portraits. Is there anything else you’ve done or would have wanted to do to make your cat’s end of life as happy as possible for them?

Per sub rules: I am not a minor. I am in the US. Our vet had been with us every step of the way. Our cat is 17. Money is no object when it comes to our cat. Our cat is a boy.
