Nebula's state of play
I've been enjoying Nebula for several years now and I was wondering what Nebula's future may look like. I believe there used to be blog posts from Nebula's founders about what Nebula's current situation looks like and what the platform is aiming for in the future but I haven't seen one of those in a while.
I can see a future where Nebula will be a safe haven from AI slop. Other than that, I'm not quite seeing what the platform's future vision is. Will it remain sort of a YT alternative with much less but curated content, less ads and the feeling that you are supporting creators to a larger degree? Will it give us more reason's to favor Nebula over YT?
While there are several channels that I really enjoy on the platform, It is starting to feel like the videos in the explore everything section are leaning more and more towards what I'd call the "reaction and critique" category where creators rate, review and react to other content instead of creating videos with less derivative content. While I understand that videos like these are much easier to crank out with a predictable schedule, it is starting to feel a bit tiring to see much of the published content merely being commentary on recent enterntainment media or events. I do admit that this is also a matter of preference.
What do you love about Nebula and why are you using the platform? What do you hope the platform would do or improve in the future?
