Getting over talking stage

The fact that I’m on here is telling me he’s lost interest. A guy and I have been talking for like 4 months and I thought it was going pretty well. We live in different cities and haven’t seen each other since last year (met thru a mutual friend) but we’ve been texting and calling a lot. He tells me his weekends are just busy and I can tell this is his way of letting me down “easy”. He doesn’t say stuff like “I’m busy but I can make xyz work”. I know I’m not asking for too much for him to come see me, so I’m just so bummed that he’s lost interest because I still like him so much.

What has helped yall get over a freaking talking stage?? I feel so silly for investing so much time into something that didn’t even progress and it’s all I think about. Him/us/this whole thing💀.
