Domestic abuse

Neighbour was abusing his wife and kids so I intervened which led to the police being called on him. He’s been put in jail for 24 hrs but my question is what happens when he’s released?

The wife has pressed charges so she was informed by the police that he wont be allowed near the address for a few months until the court case is settled. The police said that because the house is in his name and this is his sole address, things will get complicated.

Me and my mum are both witnesses to him beating the shit out of wife and kids who are both under 18.

Can anyone advise on what to do and what will happen in regards to if he is gonna have to live somewhere else until the court case settles or if the wife and her two underage kids will be forced to move out instead. He did threaten me and my mum after the police came and that was caught on the police body camera.
