I’m due to start a new job soon and would be receiving a “subsistence allowance” along with “travel allowance”. Both of these would be “subject to tax and NI”.

How would these get taxed? For example if I were to receive a £25,000 PA subsistence allowance, £5000 PA travel allowance and £35,000 PA base salary then how would my total monthly pay be calculated?

Neighbour was abusing his wife and kids so I intervened which led to the police being called on him. He’s been put in jail for 24 hrs but my question is what happens when he’s released?

My temporary tooth crown fell out 30 mins ago so Im looking for advice on what i should do. My appointment to get the permanent crown is in 1 weeks time so its not too far away. Had a root canal done 1 month ago.

Can i still brush my teeth normally with an unprotected tooth? What about eating and drinking? Ive heard the tooth after root canal is very brittle so i dont want to crack it obviously.

So i just had my root canal done today from an endodontist. Its been 5 hours since the procedure and the anaesthetic has pretty much worn off.

I was told to eat soft foods until the anaesthetic wears off so that i dont bite my tongue and cheek. Now that its worn off can i go back to eating normally? Can i eat things like chicken? Im gonna be chewing on the side without a root canal until i get my crown.
