Two weeks off school - when I try to make plans and then everyone backs out.
Last Friday was the last day of term for the Easter holidays. As a group, we have been out twice on Tuesday and Thursday. Not too bad. But what I’m annoyed about is that people have made plans to hang out on other days and I hadn’t been invited to any of them.
I expressed to people that I hate feeling left out constantly, they said “try making some plans” and so I did. I told a friend that I want to invite people over for the afternoon on Saturday. I ask. All of a sudden, no one is available. I know a few people have work, but I made it clear to them that it will only be a hang out for a few hours and they will be back home in time to get ready for work. Others said they were busy doing random things.
One friend said he will come, then the very last second said he won’t come anymore since he has work at 5. This was at 12:40. He lives a 5 minute drive from me. He made it to another event on a Saturday before he had work at someone else’s house a few weeks before. Why could he not do that today? He was free today.
He said he is free the whole of next week, but I’m not. I’m busy Tuesday for most of the day, Wednesday and Friday. He can’t do Monday. I can’t even go to places at the moment because my car is in need of a new clutch and because it’s Easter barely any garages are open to fix it. I’m not in luck at all.
I’m so disappointed. I just want to see people, but I just feel like I’m constantly ignored or avoided by people. I might seem unreasonable about people needing to get to work, but like I say if I made it clear that they will be back in time then what is the issue? I could really do with support from friends at the moment and it just doesn’t feel like it’s there.
