failed to settle previous VM contract o service switch

Review

I was initially really happy with the YouFibre1000 service after installation in March, speeds were great & installation was pretty straightforward - nearly done and equipment isn't a complete eyesore!

Unfortunately it's been all downhill from there! Speeds now rarely reach above 600mbps download, although oddly upload is hitting 900+mbps easily.

The main issue however is the settlement of my Virgin Media contract which hasn't happened. YouFibre failed to notify Virgin of my switch date and the 30-day notification window has now expired which has now left me paying for 2 services concurrently. Now in order to leave Virgin I need to enter another 30-day notice, which pushes me beyond my original contract end date, incurring further costs.

I've tried to contact Youfibre via the app chat function (only contact option apparently) and apart from the automated response or an "apologies for the delay, we're looking into this" I've had zero contact from Youfibre.

Extremely disappointed with the service I've received now, as much as I griped about Virgin Media at least it was possible to speak to someone.

If you're thinking of switching, I would avoid Youfibre - I wish I'd taken more notice of the reviews warning about poor comms.

They're fine if you have no issues, but if you do Communication is next to impossible.
