Getting Comcast collections removed from credit report

Comcast continued to bill me after i turned on equipment and cancelled service. i disputed it and they sent it to collections, where it is now hitting my credit report. i’ve been disputing it for at least 12 months and there’s never been an update, so finally i paid it as $100 isn’t worth my credit being brought down and the company agreed to remove it if i paid. They however just updated it to “paid after sent to collections” or whatever the phrase is. do i have any recourse to get them to delete?
