Game fails to launch: exit code 3221225775

I've around 2000hrs on this game (not flexing, it's only been two years) and this is the first occurance of this particular kind of error to me.

Reinstalled Visual C++ Redistributable, .NET Framework and DirectX as well as verified game files' integrity. Tried starting the game with vanilla playset but does not work.

What would be the easiest course of action onwards for me? Is this problem created due to the recent updates to the game? Why does the launcher also at times crash and require me to restart?
