Man, Umi Openings are all so perfect

I know these OP placements are mod-specific but still, they fit each episode so satisfyingly.

EP 1 - Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When the Seagulls Cry)

Strong "The stage is going up. Questions will be asked. Let the show begin" vibes. The last part when they chant "Without love, the truth cannot be seen" is a chef's kiss.

EP 2, EP 3 - Senkyou no Igreja (Church Where Oaths Resound)

"We getting for real now. Shit's deeper than you thought." vibes. The 'witchest' opening of all, if I have to say.

EP 4 - Umineko no Naku Koroni Album Version

"Time to tie everything up. Expect a climax" vibes. The Italian chant "How I have longed for this day! How I have dreaded this day!" is exactly what this opening feels like.

EP 5, 6 - Occultics no Majo (Witch of the Occult)

"We getting shonen now. We going Steins;Gate mode. We gonna save someone" vibes. Encapsulates the feeling that we are no longer fighting against the witch, but fighting for the love.

EP 7 - Kiri no Pithos (The Pithos in the Fog)

"We've been through so much shit. Let's put a proper closure to everything" vibe. These two lines "It's a story of my love" and "Ai ga mieru saigo no fantasy" (The last fantasy from which love can be seen) - solidified this opening as my favorite.

EP 8 - Inanna no Mita Yume (The Dream that Inanna saw)

"You know the story. You know the characters. Please enjoy your sit through the end" vibes. The visuals are so flashy in this opening and I love it.

Also, who the hell is Inanna?

And the anime opening Katayoku no Tori (One Winged Bird) is also pretty solid with its highlight "Nakanaide" ("Don't cry") motif. It fit the stage play well.

The only opening I find relatively weak is the Tsubasa opening, but like, it's fine.
