Brazil Travel Visa Application - PLEASE HELP

I have been trying, maybe 50+ times now, to apply through the official government website (https://brazil.vfsevisa.com/). However, my passport scan will not upload. I have tried JPEG & JPG, multiple different browsers, resized it multiple times, have made 2 accounts, and still it keeps popping up an error message. My passport photo works, but not the passport scan.

I noticed there's another website (https://applyevisa.com/brazil/apply-visa) where you can apply, although I understand it's not an official government website and from what I see online it simply serves as a middle man, and is potentially more expensive. At this point, I don't even care if they are just trying to make money off of visa applications, I just want to stop trying to upload the same damn file over and over.

Could someone please verify that I can use this secondary website and get an actual travel visa that will work? I would really appreciate some guidance on this. My travel is at the end of July so I have time, but I would like to get this sorted sooner rather than later. Thank you in advance.
