Wedding outfit mil

Can I ask do mil (mog) usually match the bridal party in the UK?

Me and my mil have a very rocky relationship, my partner also doesn’t speak to his mother and is low contact. Hes refusing to walk her down the aisle beforehand and in his eyes just another guest.

A month ago we had a massive argument where I did lose my patience and shout at her over something she said in spite towards my 4 month old son. We have really spoke since. I was meant to go shopping with her for her mog dress but she never asked me to go so I didn’t.

She asked my partner what colours to avoid for her dress, he specially said white and blue. White because duh it’s a wedding and blue because the bridesmaids are in blue and my mother is in white and blue.

Today she sent me a photo of a dress and guess what it’s white and blue 🙄 I told her it’s lovely but do they have a different colour as my mums in something very similar. She said can you send me a pic of your mums dress (I refused as my mum doesn’t want me sharing her dress). She then said what do I think. So I said I thought my partner had told her no white and blue cause of bridesmaids are in blue and asked if she had tried a different shop in the area that also did wedding party dresses. She then replied didn’t you say your mums in that colour tho. I was loosing my patience at this point and said yes that’s why we said no white no blue. I told her navy or silver would match lovely. And she just replied like a spoilt child going but I really love this dress 🙄

My thought process is why ask if you’re just going to ignore what colour we say. She shouldn’t have even tried blue and white dresses on.
