Lucky bastard, lucky indeed.
This is a remake almost completely of a separate poem I'll post below.
Please give me you're opinions my good Sirs and Madams.
Long have I eluded my fate.
Ran from the light that chased me.
Terrified the dark held the only mirror I knew.
The light would expose the hollow secrets within this fleshy skeleton.
Eternity I thought, these shadows my dear friends.
But nothing lasts.
Dawn came again, told many a truth.
Excruciating pain shaped and unveiled a purpose forgot, buried.
What have I become?
A handsome stranger stares back in the mirror…
but who’s this now?
Past a pain, but there be no home.
Let fate hurt.
paradise just another fool’s chase, though to live...
through every maze.
Let me love, then be forgot.
Shan't we fail?
let’s crack a bone or two.
Maybe redemption will come too.
A tumble, a fall.
Yet this gracious plea, to me and I, I bid.
It's quite magic really, that today we get to breathe.
For to fate I'm happily blind,
such a curse to know it all.
So to this day, let's just see,
feel and be.
Lucky bastard, lucky indeed.
