What if Lambdadelta didn't intervene?
I hope I kept the title vague enough not to be taken as a spoiler.
The reason Battler could arrive at understanding Beatrice was because Lambdadelta forbade Beatrice's surrender in EP 4, and took over the gameboard on her own in EP 5. She has been helping Battler and Beatrice the whole time.
But what would it mean for the story if Lambdadelta didn't do any of that, and the game ended prematurely with Battler's victory? How would the whole premise of "If Battler defeats Beatrice, he can return to Ange" play out?
As we know, the truth behind that line was Battler reaching out to lost Ange as a game master (and as Toya, but there is too much ambiguity in that layer to discuss this aspect in depth).
But imagine Battler comes to Ange without arriving at the truth, without grasping Beatrice's heart, and without becoming the game master. How does that even work? What does that mean to Ange? Or can he even return to Ange? Was the premise a lie from the beginning?
