Embedding WPS Office SDK into an Electron app

Building a desktop app with Electron that needs proper document editing with solid .docx and .xlsx compatibility. Web based editors like ProseMirror don't cut it for my use case and MS Office SDK isn't an option for independent developers.

WPS Office has an SDK and uses the same file formats I need which makes it the obvious candidate to look at. What I can't establish clearly is how mature the SDK actually is for this kind of embedded editing use case and what the commercial licensing looks like for a third party application.

Has anyone actually embedded the WPS Office SDK into an Electron app and what was the experience like?
